We used black spray paint and then mounted them to our homes front porch handrailing with wire ties.

We used 1/4 inch plywood but any plywood or even 1-inch thick pine glued and assembled into a sheet will work.

Once the images to traced or drawn onto the wood, cut it our with a jig saw.

Halloween CAT Silhouettes

Halloween Cat Silhouettes are easy to make and can enhance any homes Halloween decor. The first step is to find an image of a cat you want to enlarge. Many graphic programs allow large images to be printed on several sheets of printer paper. These can then be assembled, cut out and traced onto project wood. 

We then sanded the edges smooth and glued two pieces of 1"x2" pine to the base. As shown below. This creates the handrailing mount. For a better look at how this mount is attached to a handrailing check out the short video posted above.
